Hello, my name is Anne Bowes and I’m an illustrator, with lots of book ideas! I’m also a jewellery designer. www.annebowesjewellery.com

I’ve put together a gallery website to show you examples of my illustration work.
I went to Camberwell School of Art and studied Decorative Arts and Textiles. I worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for several years before becoming a freelance illustrator and a jewellery designer. My work is definitely inspired by the decorative arts. I love pattern and detail.
I’ve illustrated The Adventures of Cedric the Bear, written by Lucia Wilson www.luciawilson.co.uk, and inspired by the original Cedric Bear made by Katie Eggington www.creativethreads.co.uk. Lucia and I have visited several schools to carry out readings and fun drawing workshops.
I work with watercolours, gouache, coloured pencils and pen and ink. I’m hoping to incorporate some printmaking into my work soon. All my artwork is done by hand.

I drink green tea all day long, genmaicha is my favourite and I eat far too much very dark chocolate!
Please do get in touch with me if you would like to know any more about me and my work.
